Earth<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The great Dao is without feelings<br \/>\nit moves and guides the sun &amp; moon<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The great Dao is without name<br \/>\nit raises and nourishes the ten-thousand beings<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I do not know its name<br \/>\nforced to name it, call it Dao<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Within the Dao<br \/>\nthere is clarity, there is obscurity<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Within the Dao<br \/>\nthere is movement,\u00a0there is\u00a0stillness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Heaven is clarity, Earth is obscurity<br \/>\nHeaven is movement, Earth is stillness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Male is clarity, female is obscurity<br \/>\nmale is movement, female is stillness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Descending from the beginning, flowing toward\u00a0the end<br \/>\nthe ten-thousand beings are born<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Clarity is the source of obscurity<br \/>\nmovement is the root of stillness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If we can be constantly clear &amp; still<br \/>\nHeaven &amp; Earth completely return<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">II<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The human\u00a0spirit tends toward\u00a0clarity<br \/>\nbut\u00a0emotions disturb it<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The human heart-mind tends toward stillness<br \/>\nbut desires tether it<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If we can constantly banish desires<br \/>\nthen the heart-mind will become still naturally<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If we can clear &amp; still the heart-mind<br \/>\nthen the spirit will become clear naturally<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0The Six Desires will not arise<br \/>\nthe Three Poisons will be destroyed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Whoever cannot accomplish this<br \/>\nhas not yet cleared &amp; stilled\u00a0the heart-mind<br \/>\nhas not yet banished desires<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If we can banish desires<br \/>\ninternally observing the heart-mind<br \/>\nthere is no heart-mind<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Externally observing form<br \/>\nthere is no form<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Remotely observing things<br \/>\nthere are no things<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When we awaken to these three<br \/>\nonly then do we perceive emptiness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">III<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Observing emptiness with emptiness<br \/>\nemptiness is actually not empty<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Emptiness does not actually exist<br \/>\nit is not nothing, yet it is nothing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It is both not nothing and nothing<br \/>\nthese deep waters are constantly silent<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When silence is actually not silence<br \/>\nhow can desires arise?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When desires do not arise<br \/>\nthis is true stillness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">True stillness yields to things<br \/>\ntrue constancy attains true nature<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Constantly yielding, constantly still<br \/>\nthis is constant clarity, constant stillness<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">IV<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">With such clarity &amp; stillness<br \/>\nwe gradually enter the true Dao<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When we enter the true Dao<br \/>\nthis is called attaining the Dao<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Although this is called attaining the Dao<br \/>\nactually there is nothing to attain<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Serving to transform all living things<br \/>\nthis is called attaining the Dao<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Those who can awaken to this<br \/>\ncan transmit the sacred Dao<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">V<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Laozi says:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The superior adept does not contend<br \/>\nthe inferior adept tends to contend<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Superior De is not De<br \/>\ninferior De grasps De<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Those who hold attachments<br \/>\nare not imbued with Dao-De<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">All living things do not attain the true Dao<br \/>\nbecause they have deviant heart-minds<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0When\u00a0the heart-mind is deviant<br \/>\nthen we\u00a0startle the spirit<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When we startle the spirit<br \/>\nthen we cling to the ten-thousand things<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When we cling to the ten-thousand things<br \/>\nthen we generate craving and seeking<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">When we generate craving and seeking<br \/>\nthen we have troubles and frustrations<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Troubles, frustrations, deviations, and aspirations<br \/>\ncause anxiety and suffering in body &amp; heart-mind<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">VI<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then we meet with obscurity &amp; defilement<br \/>\ndrifting on the waves of life &amp; death<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Constantly drowning in the ocean of suffering<br \/>\nforever losing the true Dao<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Dao of true constancy<br \/>\nthose who awaken to it will attain our true self<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Attaining and awakening to the Dao<br \/>\nwe have constant clarity &amp;
